St George’s Day

By April 27, 2017Blog
In celebration of St George’s Day, we introduced St George to the children with a wave of his flag and talked about how brave he was to defeat a dragon and keep us safe.  We designed and drew our own dragon and the children decided he could breathe fire and had bumpy wings and sharp claws.
We went on to think about the times when we have been brave, and the children recalled experiences such as having injections at the Doctors and seeing shadows on their bedroom wall, as well as using their imagination to tell us scary stories of monsters under the bed and real fire breathing dragons.
