Funding for 2 year olds

For those of you who are not aware, we would like to bring to your attention that government funding may be available for some 2 year olds attending Pre-School. You can find out if you are eligible to receive this funding here:
https://beta.hertfordshire.gov.uk/services/schools-and-education/childcare-and-advice-for-parents/free-early-education-and-childcare/free-early-education-and-childcare.aspx

Childcare Vouchers

We also wanted to highlight the Childcare Voucher schemes that are available to many of you. These can save you money by taking the cost out of your salary before your PAYE is deducted (and so reducing the amount of tax you need to pay). For more information please see http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/calcs/ccin.htm or talk to your HR Representative at work who may be able to inform you of the voucher scheme that they use. There are several different organisations that businesses can obtain childcare vouchers from and we are happy to register with any of them where necessary to ensure you can spend your vouchers at our setting.

September 2017 Funding Options

From September 2017 some children will be able to receive 30 hours free childcare per week. To be eligible to claim this you, and any partner, must each expect to earn (on average) at least £120 a week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage) and earn less than £100,000 per year.

If you think you are eligible then you can check and apply via this link https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/services/schools-and-education/childcare-and-advice-for-parents/free-early-education-and-childcare/free-early-education-and-childcare.aspx

If you are successful you will be given a code which you need to give to us which we can then use to claim your hours on your behalf.

Currently, we are able to offer your child 21.5 hours a week.  You may, therefore, wish to claim your additional entitlement through a second setting or child care provider, including registered childminders.
