Mother’s Day Cake and Cuddles

By March 24, 2017March 30th, 2017Blog
We were delighted to be joined by some of our mums and siblings who enjoyed a sing and sign along performance of ‘I have my mummy in my heart’. This was followed by refreshments of iced tea and a selection of cakes. Our VIPs had the chance to relax (briefly!) and get to know each other, whilst the children also tucked into some cakes we had prepared earlier in the session. The session closed with a snuggly story time with mummy’s kisses and bedtime wishes by Jonathan London, My Mum is fantastic by Nick Butterworth and My Mum by Anthony Brown. Although the children were re-energised by their cakes, the mummy’s wished they could stay for more cuddles and stories a little longer.
A big thank you if you were able to join us and for your continued support. The Mothers Day Afternoon Tea Fundraiser on Saturday was also well attended.  We hope Mothers everywhere enjoyed Mothering Sunday in some way or another.
